Panties Thief
An airport baggage handler got an 18-month community service order yesterday for stealing more than 300 pairs of women’s knickers from suitcases. Colleagues at Stansted Airport, Essex, had spotted Tristan Self, 29, rifling through luggage. They told police who raided his home and found the haul of underwear. Mr Self told officers he “liked the feel of them” he admitted to three charges of theft. Recorder Christopher Forsyth told him at Chelmsford Crown Court: “You are a sad but not a bad young man.”
