Christmas Shopping Gift Ideas
I actually started shopping for Christmas presents at the end of September, call me sad if you like but there were two main reasons for this. Firstly so many things sell out far too quickly and secondly I intend on enjoying the month of December and I hope to have a more relaxing lead up to Christmas than in previous years.

I also hate shopping in crowded stores and I love finding the more unusual gifts online so I thought I would share with you all some of the items that appeal to me and that are under consideration for loved ones, friends and family this year.

The first item is a little more expensive but it does have a wow factor, it is a projector keyboard. This gadget is about half the size of your average deck of cards, sits wirelessly on any flat surface and projects a red standard QWERTY-layout keyboard on any flat opaque surface. Using detection technology it "watches" your fingers hit the key locations it has projected. Priced at around £109.

My second find shows how times are changing and it has caused a bit of a Dilemma for me in recent days as I shall explain. It is our old favourite, the board game of Monopoly. It has a twist though, it is an electronic version and instead of having money you have good old chip and pin. Players each get a plastic card which they insert into the calculator adding or subtracting incomes and charges as you play. The dilemma comes after I was speaking to a school teacher and friend of mine who slammed the product claiming it does nothing to help children understand the value of money and basic maths.

I really like this next one, a DVD tablet The Xoro HSD 7500 to be exact who describe it as: An ultra compact portable DVD-Player in tablet-style-design with a generous 7 inch true colour LCD TFT display and a Lithium-Ion battery. Not only that, but it also comes with a Freeview DVB-T receiver module which with Auto Channel Scan, Electronic Programme Guide and Teletext, so you can watch T.V. anywhere.. Now you can enjoy your movie-collection wherever you want. £209 a bargain?

I remember my brother having one of these, I used to have a go against him but I was never very good. A 30th Anniversary Atari® Retro system. Installed are twenty classic games that are reproductions of the originals and 20 brand new ones, never before seen.

The console has the authentic wood grain finish and vintage controls, and the classic full size joysticks have that familiar feel. It hooks up in seconds to any modern TV with audio/video Input jacks. £30.00

I actually saw this next gift on a You Tube video clip, a USB missile launcher priced at £22.00 one of those boys toys that every guy would smile at and every woman wonder 'why!'. It plugs into a USB socket on your computer and via the software supplied you can target the launcher to home in on the victim before releasing the missiles.

As you can imagine from this little list, these are my finds so far for the males in my life, men are much easier to buy for as they do so love their gadgets. I find other women are a lot harder to buy for, although I have some very close friends they are all very different to me in their tastes and I do not know many females that enjoy gadgets and gizmo's unless they are the vibrating kind !!!
