If you are in the UK you cannot fail to notice the miserable weather which seems to fit in nicely with it being the tennis center piece for many professionals, that being Wimbledon. Quite a bizarre set of events happened on Wednesday with one tennis player, 19 year old French girl Tatiana Golovin having to have her red panties measured by the referee or risk being disqualified. Wimbledon operates a strict dress code of white and according to the rules, if the hem-line of the player’s underwear is above or below a certain measure it is considered underwear. Tatiana’s panties were measured and were deemed (by the referee) to be underwear and not shorts.

This got me thinking, okay us women can take a the pill to control our monthly cycles but for some women there could be an underlying reason or health problem why this would not be acceptable. Imagine the embarrassment for these tennis players if their monthly cycle was due and despite the best claims of top sanitary selling manufacturers, accidents do happen. Would you really be wanting to have a pair of white panties on in the middle of a tennis court and world-wide television camera’s on you, I think not… Come on you upper class twits, just think about WHY a lady might not wish to wear white panties.

Before you all hot blooded males start tuning in under the pretense that you now enjoy a good tennis match, the chance to see Tatiana Golovin’s red panties is over for at least the time being as the French 17th seed went out in the second round. I guess you will just have to make do with my picture of her.
